HOW DOES ARCTIC AIR WORK?
Arctic Air is a portable personal evaporative cooling device that not only cools, but also humidifies and purifies the air around you. Simply fill the water tank and plug it in. Arctic Air will instantly begin to cool the room down, and the evaporative filter will begin absorbing water for even more, extended cooling power. If you are using the Arctic Air Ultra, mist will also being coming from the product to help cool the area faster. Then, when the air circulates through the filter, the water evaporates, which makes the air cool down while becoming saturated with water, creating the most ideal thermal conditions for you.
HOW DO I CLEAN MY ARCTIC AIR FILTER?
We recommend weekly cleaning of your Arctic Air Ultra and Filter to keep in best working condition, and replacing the filter every 3-6 months.
HOW DO I CLEAN MY ARCTIC AIR ULTRA?
• To prepare for cleaning, run Arctic Air™ Ultra until all water has emptied from the water tank, or hold Arctic Air™ Ultra over
a sink and carefully dump out to avoid splashing or spilling.
• Remove Filter tray from Arctic Air™ Ultra. Using warm, soapy water, wipe filter tray and grill, then rinse off until clean. Let air dry.
• If you notice water tank is dirty, use a small, bendable brush (i.e. toothbrush, bottle brush, etc) and carefully clean the inside of
the tank until clean. Rinse clean with warm water.
HOW CAN I GET COOLER, FASTER?
For Best Results:
PRE-SOAK FILTER: Place your filter under running cold water until wet.
FREEZE FILTER: For even more cooling, place a wet filter in the freezer until frozen.
THERE IS SOME CONDENSATION FORMING ON THE FRONT GRILL. IS THIS NORMAL?
Yes, this is normal. Just wipe with a soft rag or paper towel and continue to use.
HOW DO I REPLACE THE FILTER?
Use the Filter Drawer Tab to pull out the filter drawer & remove filter.
For best results, lightly pre-soak new filter under cold, running water. For even more cooling power, place a wet filter in the freezer until frozen. Place filter in drawer in marked location, and close filter drawer.
CAN I TURN OFF THE NIGHT LIGHT?
Yes - just press the LIGHT button once to reduce the brightness, and press again to turn light off completely. You can turn it back on by pressing the light button again.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ARCTIC AIR AND OTHER COOLING DEVICES?
Arctic Air uses 100 times less energy than standard plug in window units and central air systems. It is personalized temperature control where you need it, which will clearly have a positive effect on your electricity bill.
WHAT DOES THE DEGREE OF COOLING DEPEND ON?
The degree of cooling depends on three factors: the outside air temperature, the air humidity, and the device settings you choose. Arctic Air works based on the evaporation process. The higher the temperature and the lower the humidity, the more actively evaporation occurs, and, therefore, the stronger the cooling effect.
By adjusting the settings, you can choose the most comfortable thermal conditions for you.
HOW MUCH DOES ARCTIC AIR REDUCE THE TEMPERATURE?
The change in temperature depends on external conditions and the device's power. In high-humidity regions, the difference will be far greater than in dry and hot regions.
WHAT SIZE AREA WILL IT COOL?
Arctic Air's cooling zone is 45 sq ft. It is designed for small areas. It will help you create the most comfortable conditions at your workplace or recreational space.
HOW MUCH NOISE DOES ARCTIC AIR MAKE?
Arctic Air is practically silent! It is no louder than your computer's cooling fan!
HOW DO I KNOW WHEN I NEED TO REPLACE THE FILTER?
You need to replace the cartridge every 3-6 months, depending on usage. There is no indication system that notifies you when the filter should be replaced.
